Charizard season. Dark Crystal Blaze (CSV5C) hit China on September 12, 2025, and it’s built around one card everybody wants: the Tera Charizard ex SAR. The set pulls from Japan’s Ruler of the Black Flame and Raging Surf, so you get the iconic dark Tera Charizard art plus Garchomp, Altaria and a stack of trainer SARs. Here are the 10 best pulls, ranked by what the Chinese cards are actually selling for.

  • Standard box: 15 packs of 5 cards, 1 holo per pack
  • Jumbo box: 6 packs of 20 cards, 6 holos per pack
  • Set: 164 cards, including 8 SARs and 4 gold URs
  • Also called: Black Crystal Blaze or Ardent Obsidian

What are the odds?

The big hits are rare in Chinese sets. The official print ratio puts SRs, SARs and gold URs together at 0.73% of cards in standard packs and 1% in jumbo packs. That works out to about one of those hits every two standard boxes, or a little more than one per jumbo box. There are no guaranteed hits, so the Charizard SAR is a real chase. If you’re hunting hits, the jumbo box gives you more holos and better odds at a big hit for your money.
